What's going on YouTube, Gioson right here
0:02
So in today's video I'm going to show you how to reset an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
0:06
if you forgot your passcode or you accidentally set up a passcode or your child accidentally set up a passcode
0:11
so that you can basically reuse the device again. Now important before we even start, this is not an iCloud bypass solution
0:18
You still need to provide your Apple ID and password if you reset the device and you have Find My iPhone turned on
0:23
but this will basically skip the passcode screen if you forgot your passcode
0:27
and will reset the device with factory settings so that you can keep on using it again. Now, to do this, we're going to use PassHub iPhone Unlock
0:33
a software that is available for both Windows and macOS. So you can see here that it does support
0:38
the newest devices as well, including iOS 17 beta. And you can get the free trial available over here
0:43
on their website, passhub.com. And you can easily revert the device back to factory settings if you
0:48
forgot your passcode, your screen passcode. So let's get into it. I have a device connected to
0:53
the computer via the cable and we open the program and it looks like this. You have the options over
0:58
here, the unlock iOS screen, which is basically resetting the device back if you forgot your
1:03
passcode remove the screen time passcode basically revert screen time limitations If you no longer remember the passcode and you have limitations set up you can do so And then you have the Apple ID bypass app MDM and password manager which basically shows you the saved passwords on your device Pretty useful feature if you have
1:18
saved passwords in Safari, for example, and you want to import them over to your computer. But
1:22
this is the option we're going to use today. Unlock iOS screen. And we have the device connected. It's an iPod Touch 7 generation, the latest version available. And as you can see here
1:29
we have a couple of notes and it's usually a good idea to read them. It says removing the screen lock
1:33
will erase all the data on the device. After that, you can restore your device from a backup
1:37
So if you have a backup of your device, which you should, then you can basically revert it
1:42
after the program completes. If you don't have a backup, all the data that is not backed
1:46
up will be erased. Unfortunately, if you don't know your passcode right now, there is no
1:50
way for you to create a backup, so you can consider that data already lost
1:53
Anyway, it says in here your device will be updated to the latest version after the screen
1:57
lock removal. So it's important to know that if you're interested in jailbreaking, this
2:00
will update your phone to whatever is the latest version for you. So after everything is ok here you press start and you will have to basically keep the device
2:08
connected while you press this and you will eventually get into the screen which says
2:12
download the matching firmware. This will basically download the proper iOS version for your device in my case it happens to be 15 because these devices cannot run 16 However if your device is 16 or 17 compatible you will get basically whatever is latest for you
2:28
Press download in here and wait for the download to complete. This may take a while since the
2:32
download is pretty big, 5 gigs in size in my case, so I'm going to be right back in a couple of
2:36
minutes once it finishes. Alright, so after a while it says firmware downloaded successfully
2:40
and we can press start to remove and at this point the device will reboot. It says removing
2:44
the screen lock, please keep the network connected and do not use the device during the process
2:49
You need to keep the network connected because it will verify the firmware with Apple and if it's
2:53
no longer signed or something happened with the signing status, then it will stop the process
2:57
otherwise it will error out. So now it says unpacking the firmware. The IPSW firmware from
3:02
iOS is basically a huge zip file, so yeah, that makes sense and it can take a while. Now I'm going
3:07
to be right back because the next process is basically installing it and you don't have to
3:11
touch the device anymore, you don't have to do anything, just leave it complete, but this can
3:15
take up to 10 minutes or so for the whole thing to complete. During the time, your device may
3:19
reboot a couple of times, nothing to worry about, but do not disconnect it until the program finishes
3:24
Alright so 10 minutes in and it says screen lock removed successfully You can press done in here and that it you can close the program Now the device as you can see rebooted and it back on the setup screen As I said this reverts to the stock settings So I going to press in here start manually or setup manually
3:39
You have to connect to a wifi network. It takes a few moments to activate the device. Now at this
3:44
point, if you do have find my iPhone on, it will ask you for your Apple ID and password to prove
3:49
that it's actually your device. But then you're going to see the screen over here and you can
3:53
create a new passcode as you can see over here. So you can either choose to create an alphanumeric
3:58
one or a custom numeric one, six digit or don't use at all. So I'm gonna go with don't use at all
4:02
for the moment. And here if you have a backup you have the option to restore your backup and get back
4:06
your data from either iCloud or a computer or from Android or whatever. I'm gonna go with don't
4:11
transfer for now, set up Apple ID, agree with their terms and conditions, update settings, location
4:16
settings over here, series settings over there, light mode and get started and that's it. We can
4:21
now use the device normally, you can open the applications and stuff like that, everything
4:25
seems to be working fine. So that's how you do it, that's how you actually reset your device
4:30
if you forgot your passcode using the PassFab iPhone Unlock. As I said, the program can be
4:35
found on passfab.com and there is a free trial available for both Windows and macOS. Thank
4:39
you for watching, I'm GSnow, peace
