iOS 18.4 Adds a new Ambient Music feature

The iOS 18.4 Beta 1 has been released at long last, and we can already see an interesting new feature. There’s a new Ambient Music feature now that you can add to your Control Center.

This brand-new feature is available on both iPhone and iPad as part of iOS 18.4. The Ambient Music control is split into four categories as such:

  • Sleep
  • Chill
  • Productivity
  • Wellbeing

You can add each category to the Control Center and once you start playing ambient music from one of them it will show up in the Dynamic Island notch.

As a person who cannot sleep without ambient sound, I very much appreciate this new feature. From what I was able to test, it plays a variety of songs that fit their respective categories.

While you cannot see what’s playing in the Control Center toggle itself, the song does show up in the music control if you have it added to the Control Center.More iDevice Central Guides
