Tweak Full Description
Supports iOS 13 - 16, Prysm and BigSurCenter!
This tweak allows you to dim the screen even further than usual with the brightness slider in Control Center. It uses the “Reduce White Point” Setting, which can usually be found in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Reduce White Point, which is cumbersome to reach. This tweak integrates that setting right in the brightness slider in the Control Center, so all you have to do is to slide below a certain point where the normal brightness setting will drop to zero. From that point on the slider controls the “Reduce white point” setting, which then dims the screen even further. No more blinding yourself when using your device at night!
You can find options in the Settings App. You can disable and re-enable the tweak there. Also, you can set the threshold which modifies at which point the slider changes from brightness to white point mode. By default this is set to 30%, so the bottom 30% control the white point setting, whereas the top 70% control the normal brightness setting.
The tweak can also modify the Auto-Brightness toggle, normally found in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Auto-Brightness. This is however done only at user request. When Auto-Brightness is turned off, the tweak will not modify it. When the user turns it on, the tweak toggles it on and off, depending on if Reduce White Point is active or not. At any time can the user toggle auto-brightness (on and) off to ensure the tweak does not interfere with Auto-Brightness at all.
If the latest versions do not work on your device, please consider downloading an older version, those are available on https://github.com/jschiefner/advanced-brightness-slider-tweak/releases and can be installed with Filza.
