With iOS 13 being a major firmware version, it’s safe to assume a lot of people are still using it even to this day, so here’s how to jailbreak iOS 13.0 all the way up to iOS 13.7 on all devices including the A12 and A13 devices, with Sileo and Tweaks working using a jailbreak called Odyssey and developed by the Odyssey Team lead by hacker Coolstar.
Note: If instead you prefer Unc0ver jailbreak, here’s a tutorial on how to jailbreak with Unc0ver on all devices.
Jailbreak pre-requisites
Before you start attempting to jailbreak using the Odyssey jailbreak, it’s best to make sure that you meet all the prerequisites of the jailbreak tool itself. At first, make sure you’re running indeed the iOS 13 to iOS 13.7 range. Other iOS versions will not be supported by Odyssey.
Make sure to backup your device in iTunes or in Finder before attempting to jailbreak. While the jailbreak itself should be pretty safe, accidents do happen and you wouldn’t wanna lose all your data if you happen to be one of the unlucky few.
Odyssey Jailbreak compatibility
Also before we start, here are all the supported iOS versions and devices for Odyssey Jailbreak.
Hint: If you need Odyssey Jailbreak for iOS 14 to iOS 14.3, that is called Taurine Jailbreak and it’s available here.
Odyssey Jailbreak supports ALL devices running iOS 13.0 to iOS 13.7, which means:
- iOS 13.7

All of these versions can successfully be jailbroken with the Odyssey Jailbreak tool with tweaks and Sileo working.
Where do download Odyssey Jailbreak?
Don’t just get the Odyssey jailbreak from any sources. There are many fake Odyssey Jailbreak websites out there claiming support for iOS 14 even as far as iOS 14.6. Those are all fake. The only official website for the Odyssey Jailbreak is https://theodyssey.dev.
You can download the latest version of Odyssey Jailbreak HERE.
TIP: This jailbreak comes in IPA format, but if you already use AltStore on your device, it’s possible to install it without a computer by downloading the IPA file directly on Safari on your phone.
You can click here to add the AltStore repo for Odyssey Jailbreak in your AltStore.

Does Odyssey Jailbreak have Cydia?
Even better! Odyssey jailbreak comes with something even newer and better – Sileo package manager. It looks similar to Cydia and works the same way, you have repos from where you install tweaks and themes, but Sileo is much more modern looking, more robust and all the components are new and updated. Sileo itself is written in Swift making it abide by the newer iOS standards.
Cydia is good, but it’s way past its prime at this point, especially if you consider saurik, the developer of Cydia, has long abandoned the project officially. Jay Freeman (saurik) has stated years ago that he no longer cares enough to keep Cydia updated. Right now, Cydia is kept on life-support by Unc0ver Team, mostly Sam Bingner, but that won’t save the tool from an inevitable end.
Sileo is maintained by the Odyssey Team, and it has a much more modern backend that can handle the new era of iOS. I am a diehard fan of Cydia myself, it was my first package manager on iOS 4, but Sileo is just so much better, and has way more features we need in 2021. The last major update for Cydia was on iOS 7, which is 2014. Sileo is updated almost monthly.
Is Odyssey Jailbreak Untethered?
Just like most jailbreaks released after iOS 9, Odyssey is not untethered, This means that the jailbreak will have to be re-enabled after every reboot from the dedicated Odyssey application on the device. It only takes a few seconds, but until you do it, your device will be stock iOS.
Arguably, this kind of jailbreaks (we call them semi-untethered) are pretty good because if things go bad with your tweaks, rebooting will disable all tweaks and let the device boot normally whereas, on an untethered jailbreak, all the tweaks load before the device even finished booting which as you can imagine, would be pretty bad if a tweak causes malfunctions. Yes, there’s a key combo to enter Safe Mode on untethered devices, but most people don’t know it and it can be different from jailbreak to jailbreak.
Bottom line:
Odyssey jailbreak is not untethered and will require you to re-sign it from time to time and to re-enable it after each reboot from the dedicated Odyssey app on your phone.
Is Odyssey Jailbreak safe to use?
Odyssey Jailbreak should be pretty safe to use as long as you pay attention to what tweaks you install and from which repos. Try to avoid pirated repos as those tend to have malware or outdated tweaks.
It’s best to also do a backup to your device before jailbreaking with the Odyssey Jailbreak, just in case. While not many issues have been reported, especially nowadays when multiple stability updates have been released for Odyssey, it’s still best to make sure you have a backup of all your data and make sure that the Odyssey you install is, indeed, the latest version available on the official website as many updates get pushed by Odyssey Team.
