The Fugu15 project developed by Linus Henze has quickly grown into becoming a full jailbreak thanks to developer @opa334 who’s taken the jailbreak project and made it into a usable tool for the general public. Initially, opa334’s version of Fugu15 jailbreak was called Fugu15 Max, but that was just a working name.
Earlier this week we learned that the jailbreak tool is officially called “Dopamine Jailbreak“, and aside from being able to run tweaks thanks to ElleKit, it also includes many fixes for bugs and issues present in the original Fugu15 Jailbreak by Linus Henze.
Other than the name change and the new user interface, Dopamine jailbreak is not very different compared to Fugu15 Max which is currently in Public Beta 8. In fact, Fugu15 Max is essentially Dopamine jailbreak, the whole code was used in the Dopamine project after the name change. While the new name makes it a bit confusing, the bottom line is that Dopamine is the finalized version of Fugu15 Max, which was a codename.
Can you install tweaks and themes on Dopamine Jailbreak?
Yes! Dopamine Jailbreak supports tweak injection thanks to ElleKit, an alternative to libhooker, Cydia Substrate, and Substitute. Dopamine Jailbreak also includes the latest version of Sileo, which allows you to easily browse tweaks and repos.
You should keep in mind that since Dopamine jailbreak is a rootless jailbreak tool, only tweaks that have been updated for rootless jailbreaks will run. At this point, many tweak developers have already updated their packages, and most jailbreak repos already support rootless tweak submissions, so you shouldn’t have issues finding compatible tweaks. Here’s a compatible tweak list to get you started, but there are many more available.
Does Dopamine Jailbreak come with Cydia?
Dopamine Jailbreak, like all iOS 15 and newer jailbreaks, will not come with Cydia. Cydia is essentially dead as of iOS 15. The original creator, saurik, no longer wishes to maintain it, and iOS 15 introduced some changes that completely broke Cydia.
However, you shouldn’t use Cydia even if it was available. Sileo, Zebra, and Installer 5 all have much more features, are faster, and work more reliably than Cydia since they are all built with newer technologies and actively maintained.
What devices and iOS versions are supported by Dopamine Jailbreak?
Just like Fugu15 Max before it, Dopamine Jailbreak can jailbreak iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 15.4.1 on A12+ devices. Older devices like iPhone X and lower are not supported. For those, you may want to use palera1n, which supports up to iOS 16.4 with tweaks! Here’s a list of iPhone models supported by Dopamine Jailbreak:
- iPhone XR / XS / XS Max
- iPhone 11 (All variants)
- iPhone 12 (All variants)
- iPhone 13 (All variants)
As a general rule of thumb, if your device has an A12 or newer SoC, it is very likely supported by Dopamine Jailbreak. M1 devices are also supported.
Download Dopamine Jailbreak IPA – iOS 15.0 – 15.4.1 Jailbreak (Fugu15 Max)
Dopamine Jailbreak is a semi-untethered iOS Jailbreak tool, which means it comes in the standard IPA format and does not require a computer in order to run the jailbreak process. However, you may need a computer to install the IPA file to the phone via sideloading.
To sideload Dopamine jailbreak, we recommend you use either AltStore or Sideloadly. Both applications are available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can use a fake Apple ID to sideload the jailbreak IPA.
