What is BigBoss repo?
The BigBoss repo is one of the oldest, most popular jailbreak repos in our community. For many years this repo was the default repo from which you could get all paid and free tweaks on many jailbreaks.
BigBoss repo is still very popular to this date, and with the addition of rootless tweaks support in April 2023, the repo can once again be a central hub for tweak developers looking to host their tweaks for free. This repo contains tweaks that support iOS 4 all the way up to iOS 16.4 on all devices and it is maybe one of the biggest jailbreak repos out there.
BigBoss repo is usually installed by default on jailbreaks like CheckRa1n, Unc0ver, Electra, Pangu Jailbreak, Taig Jailbreak, and so on, but if you removed it accidentally, or if your jailbreak did not come with BigBoss repo by default, you can add it below.
Are you looking for rootless tweaks compatible with Fugu15 Max Jailbreak or PaleRa1n? Check here.

What can you find on the BigBoss repo?
Since BigBoss is one of the oldest and biggest jailbreak repos, it contains thousands of tweaks for many iOS versions. Tweaks range from cosmetic modifications, carrier bundles, custom fonts, custom keyboards, home screen tweaks, lockscreen tweaks and so much more.
A while ago, the BigBoss repo stopped accepting theme submissions, but you can still find a lot of older themes and theming tools hosted on BigBoss. Even today in 2023 many tweak developers choose to host their tweaks on BigBoss because of how popular it is.
Even though today there are many alternatives to the BigBoss repo, many hundreds of tweaks are hosted only on BigBoss so you should definitely keep this repo added to your package manager, otherwise, you might be missing out on many great tweaks and their updates.
How to add BigBoss repo to Cydia
If you want to manually add the BigBoss repo to the Cydia package manager, all you have to do is to follow the instructions down below. We still recommend pressing the “Add to Cydia” button up above which will automatically open Cydia and add the repo, but if you want to proceed manually, here’s how you do it:
Step 1: Open the Cydia application on your home screen.
Step 2: Navigate to the Sources tab, then tap Edit, then Add the BigBoss Repo URL which is http://apt.thebigboss.org
Step 3: Tap Add Source and wait for Cydia to refresh the packages.
How to install BigBoss to Silleo Package Manager
Sileo is a Cydia alternative that usually comes by default with Coolstar’s jailbreaks, such as Chimera, Odyssey Jailbreak, and Taurine. Nowadays, however, most new jailbreaks come with Sileo by default even if the jailbreak is not developed by Coolstar or the Odyssey team.
Sileo has become the de-facto Cydia alternative, so jailbreaks like PaleRa1n, XinaA15, Fugu15 Max and Cheyote Jailbreak come with Sileo by default. Here’s how to manually add the BigBoss repo to Sileo.
Step 1: Open the Sileo application on your home screen.
Step 2: Navigate to the Sources tab, then tap Edit, then Add the BigBoss Repo URL which is http://apt.thebigboss.org
Step 3: Tap Add Source and wait for Sileo to refresh the packages.
How to install BigBoss to Zebra Package Manager
Zebra is another very popular Cydia alternative. Although it is not as widely used as Coolstar’s Sileo, there are still many jailbreak users who do actively use Zebra. Zebra is also open-source, but I am not aware of any jailbreak tools that come with Zebra by default as their sole package manager.
Still, if you use Zebra and want to add the BigBoss repo manually, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Open the Zebra application on your home screen.
Step 2: Navigate to the Sources tab, then tap the + button, then Add the BigBoss Repo URL which is http://apt.thebigboss.org
Step 3: Tap Add Source and wait for Zebra to refresh the packages.
How to install BigBoss to Installer 5 Package Manager
If you’re using AppTapp’s Installer 5 package manager, you can still add the BigBoss repo manually if you choose to do so. Follow the instructions below:
Step 1: Open the Installer 5 application on your home screen.
Step 2: Navigate to the Sources tab, then tap Edit, then Add the BigBoss Repo URL which is http://apt.thebigboss.org
Step 3: Tap Add Source and wait for Installer 5 to refresh the packages.
