As you are probably aware, Dopamine Jailbreak is a fully-fledged jailbreak utility compatible with iOS 15.0 all the way up to iOS 15.4.1 on A12+ devices.

Before Dopamine Jailbreak was released by developer @opa334, we had XinaA15 Jailbreak by developer Xina. Unfortunately, Xina’s Jailbreak isn’t quite the best jailbreak due to various stability and compatibility issues. Dopamine Jailbreak is much smoother, has better compatibility for tweaks, and supports more iOS versions.



Is Dopamine Jailbreak ready for the general public?

At the time I am writing this, Dopamine Jailbreak is maybe the most stable, most reliable jailbreak utility for iOS 15.0 – 15.4.1 on modern (A12+) devices.

While there are occasional bugs, and some tweaks may have weird behaviors, the jailbreak is considered as stable as a jailbreak could be nowadays. Developer opa334 continues to push occasional updates and the tool works.

Still, if you have data you care about, it’s always a good idea to back up the device regularly, preferably off-site. Jailbreaking, as useful as it is for customization, is not risk-free. Things can go wrong, bootloops and data loss happens from time to time. If you do have a backup, you are covered.

What is new in Dopamine Jailbreak v1.1.6?

According to the changelog on both Twitter and GitHub (Dopamine Jailbreak is open-source), here’s what is new on v1.1.6:

  • Update the bundled packages of Sileo and Zebra to their latest versions


Yes, it appears that the only change in this version is the Zebra and Sileo package managers being updated.

It’s important to always use an updated version to ensure repo compatibility, but it’s not a crucial stability update so you can take your time jumping to it.
