Ever since jailbreaking started to become popular, people have found ways to make it easier to use and add value to the action of jailbreaking. These top Cydia / Sileo Repos will enhance your jailbreak experience, even with modern jailbreak tools. It makes sense, why would you wanna jailbreak if there’s no advantage?
The advantage here was mostly represented by tweaks and themes that could be installed through the jailbreak, allowing a degree of customization on iOS never seen before. But ever since the beginning, there was a problem: how will people find and install these tweaks and themes? The answer was repos.
Cydia / Sileo repos or repositories are like folders containing tweaks, themes, and utilities you can install on your jailbroken iOS device. Jailbreaking has largely followed APT and DPKG utilities so it’s no surprise that we’ve settled for repos and DEB packages for tweaks.
NOTE: iOS 17.0 – 17.4.1 (iPadOS 17.0 – 17.4.1) is currently only jailbreakable on certain checkm8 iPads using PaleRa1n Jailbreak.
If you have an A12+ device, it’s not currently jailbreakable on iOS 17, but do not update!
In this guide I will show you some of the best repos to add to your jailbroken device and why you should add them.
Most important Cydia / Sileo Repos
While many developers decide to build their own repo for their tweaks, there are a few major general repos that every developer can submit packages to, and these repos contain thousands of tweaks, themes, and utilities.
When we think about top Cydia / Sileo Repos for iOS 12 – 17.3.1 / iOS 17.4, we think about great sources for tweaks, themes, and utilities that will make your jailbroken device so much better.
Many of the must-have repos are already included with your jailbreak but if they are not, here’s a full list of some of the most important repos:
Must-Have: BigBoss Repo
