iOS Betas represent in-development versions of iOS, which Apple makes available for developers or the general public through IPSWs or OTA (Over The Air updates).
Every major iOS update tends to go through a few Beta builds before an RC (Release Candidate) is available. Once everything is OK, the RC likely becomes the final version and is released as an OTA update for everybody.
After the final version is released, its Beta builds may stay signed for a few more weeks before becoming unsigned. As you know, you can’t update or restore to an unsigned iOS version by default.
Apple doesn’t provide a way to check which betas are currently signed and can be installed, so I’ve made this page for you to be able to easily check which builds are currently signed and which ones aren’t anymore.

Should you install an iOS Beta on your main device?
It depends.
If you’re planning to jailbreak your device, and the developers recommend staying on a specific beta or updating to it, then sure, that’s fair game.
Do know, however, that running an iOS beta is generally not recommended, especially on your main device. Beta builds tend to be buggy, can have app conflicts, and usually expire after a while.
When a beta build expires, it will continue to work, but your device will keep nagging you repeatedly with alerts to update to a stable version. Those beta popups can be disabled using a jailbreak tweak, but if no jailbreak is available they tend to be very annoying.
It’s generally recommended that you run a stable iOS build if you can help it. If you’re staying on a beta for jailbreak purposes then that’s a different thing. You likely know the drawbacks associated with it already, but it’s your best shot.
Can you update to stable iOS from a beta?
Yes. You can generally update from a beta build to a stable version of iOS without data loss via OTA (Over The Air updates) in Settings.
Beta builds tend to be supported by most App Store apps, and you shouldn’t have any issues with synchronizing your data with the computer (backups). Still, if you’re not interested in jailbreaking, you should always choose a stable build instead of a beta.
How can I save SHSH2 Blobs for iOS Betas?
If you want to backup your SHSH2 blobs for currently signed Beta builds, you can do so with BlobSaver which is free and open-source on GitHub.
BlobSaver allows you to connect your device and backup your SHSH2 blobs which are personalized for your device, and there’s a Beta versions toggle that allows you to fetch the Beta blobs too.
