Ever since it was introduced on iOS, iCloud Activation was meant to prevent thieves from stealing your phone, but it inadvertently made it possible to lock yourself out of your own device as well. Since iCloud activation is activated by default once you sign in to an Apple account in order to get apps, many people found themselves locked outside their own devices when they created throwaway accounts and ended up forgetting the credentials.
Of course, iCloud Activation did very little to protect against thieves stealing iOS devices. Instead, those stolen and locked devices ended up online on eBay, Craigslist, and similar websites where people got scammed thinking they are buying a functional secondhand device when instead they got a locked one.
Important: We’re receiving reports from the community that SiMUnlockPro has gone rogue and it’s not fulfilling order anymore. To protect our viewers we have removed any links and mentions to this service from our website and we don’t recommend using them.
The same story applies to SIM lock which remains popular to this day. In many countries, the SIM lock is not removed even if you’ve completed the contractual obligations towards the original carrier.
Can iCloud Activation and SIM lock be bypassed on iOS 16?
Fortunately, there are multiple ways nowadays to go about it. In the past, vendors used access to Apple’s GSX in order to process iCloud removal, others used various tools based on the checkm8 exploit which was released back in 2019 but works only on iPhone X and older.
Nowadays there are many ways to unlock iCloud activation.
SIM Unlocks tend to be more straightforward. Usually, the devices are locked to a specific carrier when they are purchased under contract for a period of years until the device essentially paid off. However, many carriers across the world do not automatically release the SIM lock from the device when the contract is over and instead charge an additional fee for this.
If a device is SIM locked, you will not be able to activate and use any other SIM from any other network on that device until you unlock it.
Is bypassing/removing iCloud Activation legal?
Bypassing iCloud Activation is completely legal as long as you do it on your own device that you’ve purchased. It’s illegal to attempt to bypass activation on stolen property and iCloud-locked devices tend to be tracked via GPS in FindMy on Apple’s website. Please use the content of this article responsibly and within legal borders.
If you forgot your Apple ID & password, or you got a second-hand device and you were scammed and the seller vanished, this is a perfectly legitimate reason to attempt to unlock the device you paid for.
If you found a lost device on the street, please contact local authorities and give them the device. Most services do NOT support unlocking devices that are in Lost / Stolen mode to prevent fraud.
How To Unlock iCloud Activation / Bypass iCloud on iOS 16 and iOS 15
If you want to unlock the iCloud activation for your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Apple Watch that YOU LEGALLY OWN, you can use an unlock service which allows you to unlock the device via IMEI number.
Here’s how to Unlock iCloud Activation:
- Navigate to a trusted iCloud Removal page. We cannot recommend any particular service at the moment.
- On the Service & IMEI section select your device model/
- Type the IMEI or SERIAL (S/N) of the device in the IMEI field. IMEI numbers must be 15 characters long. Please double-check it to avoid typos.
- Submit your order and pay.
It’s that simple. Now you just have to wait. This is because different devices have different grades of difficulty to unlock them. If your order takes too long, you can request a refund at any time, but please check their refund policy to ensure your case qualifies.
Do keep in mind that most iCloud services do not issue refunds if you submit a request for unlocking a device that is placed in LOST or STOLEN mode by its owner. To ensure your device can be unlocked, it’s best to pay a few dollars and have someone first check your IMEI number and tell you exactly what kind of lock you have and if it can be safely unlocked.
Remember, stolen or lost devices will never be unlocked even by legit services.
iCloud removal from an iMac or MacBook is also often not possible.

Hi
so you are saying simunlockpro can actually unlock icloud lock and they are not scam?
Do you 100% vouch for this service? I paid them for a simple IMEI check which they said would take 1hr to 24hrs to process. It’s been 4 days and my stays has not changed at all and they have not replied to my status inquiry. So it causes me to wonder if they are a legit service.
Just as a note, we do not necessarily vouch for this service. It’s a popular one, and they did what we asked when we tested, but we do not endorse their service.
Why isn’t my message published?
This can protect others from paying their money to scammers.
This behavior is also very questionable GeoSn0w!!!
Hmm this is the first comment I see from you. It’s possible that Akismet anti spam somehow filtered it. Cana you please repost it so I will manually approve it?
Also as a side-note, we’ve received several reports of this unlocking company going rogue and not fulfilling orders so we’ve removed all links and mentions to them on the website to ensure we don’t recommend a bad service
That’s right, you shouldn’t advertise scammers like this, the jailbreak scene already has a bad reputation (unfairly) so something like that doesn’t have to contribute to it on your side.
Please delete this question: Do you happen to have a reputable service that can perform this service ^^?
OK. Of course, it could happen that Akismet perceived me as spam lol, had written a lot about these ICloud removers. But now just the short version, smile,
On September 9, 2023 I gave the order to remove the ICloud activation on my iPhone 11 Pro. Even after several emails, no response. In my account on the page the status is as follows: iCloud Removal – In Process, when you hover over this status it appears: Your iPhone’s in the iCloud Removal Process. Please respect Delivery Time Frame.
I think it’s funny to mention after more than a month that you should respect the delivery time. Which according to the ICloud Removers only takes 10-24 hours 😂😂😂
Best regards
